At its core, NEKRUT tells the story of the eternal soldier — the conscript who, for centuries, has marched off to defend his homeland. In times past, military service could last twenty-five long years. These soldiers walked into distant, perilous lands, but their hearts remained in their native villages — with their families, friends, and memories.
